It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy Spring Workshop 2025 in the magnificent Alpine setting of Innsbruck, Austria.
Our theme, “5 Steps of Medication Safety: Medication Without Harm, Where Are We Now?” reflects our commitment to advancing the WHO’s global initiative on medication safety. Since the landmark 2019 WHO technical report, clinical pharmacists across Europe have been at the forefront of implementing innovative strategies to reduce medication-related harm.
As we are at the midpoint toward the WHO’s ambitious target of reducing preventable medication-related harm by 50% by 2030, this workshop provides a timely opportunity to assess our progress, share successes, and address ongoing challenges. Over the coming days, we have the privilege to engage with leading experts, researchers, and practitioners from around the world, who will share their expertise, examine practical implementation strategies, and evaluate their impact on patient outcomes.
I encourage you to engage actively, forge new connections, and leave inspired to further advance medication safety in your practice settings.
