Getting to the Venue
You can find Almada and the venue at the Egas Moniz Campus just across the river from Lisbon, situated on the south bank beyond the 25 de Abril Bridge (famous red bridge in Lisbon).
- Tram station: Monte de Caparica (6 min walk)
- Bus stop: Mte Cap Av T Lorosae (X) Porto Brandão (6 min walk)
- Ferry stop: Porto Brandão (30 min walk)
This guide provides two main options for traveling from the Lisbon airport to the venue Campus in Caparica:
Option 1: Cross-City Connection (Metro-Train-Tram)
- Step 1 (Metro): Take the Red Line from the Airport towards São Sebastião, change at Alameda to the Green Line (towards Telheiras), and get off at Roma station.
- Step 2 (Walk): Walk approximately 5 minutes to the Roma-Areeiro train station (follow the signs).
- Step 3 (Train): Take a Fertagus train heading to Setúbal or Coina and get off at Pragal station.
- Step 4 (Tram): From Pragal, follow the signs to the MST tram station and take a tram (line no. 3) towards Universidade and get off at Monte de Caparica.
Option 2: Scenic River Route (Metro-Ferry-Tram/Bus)
- Step 1 (Metro): Take the Red Line from the Airport to Alameda, change to the Green Line towards Cais do Sodré, and ride to the final stop – Cais do Sodré.
- Step 2 (Ferry): At Cais do Sodré, take the ferry across the Tagus River to Cacilhas.
- Step 3 (Tram or Bus): From Cacilhas, take the MST tram (line 3) towards Universidade to “Monte de Caparica” or use Bus 3009, 3012, or 3022.
