Description
To introduce a digital literacy framework for undergraduate pharmacy and identify practical opportunities, challenges, and strategies for embedding digital literacy within educational and professional settings.
Dr Clare Tolley is a Lecturer in Pharmacy at Newcastle University with expertise in digital health, patient safety and pharmacy education. She is the Deputy Degree Programme Director and lead for clinical examinations. Her work focuses on preparing future pharmacists for contemporary practice by developing digital capabilities, integrating digital health technologies into pharmacy curricula, and promoting patient safety within increasingly technology-enabled healthcare systems. Clare has conducted research around integrating digital health technologies into practice and evaluating the impact of these and has expertise around medication safety, clinical decision support and workforce development. Clare’s recent work includes supervising Dr Mashael Alowais’ to complete her PhD around developing a Digital Literacy Framework for undergraduate pharmacy.
