Description
The aim of the webinar is to build on our current knowledge and understanding of the menopause and how as pharmacists we can better support women in menopause.
Since qualifying as a pharmacist in 2021, I have worked within community pharmacy and academia, and most recently, within General Practice gaining experience in Women’s Health as part of an Independent Prescribing qualification. During this time, I have had extensive patient-facing experience including delivering many clinical services and overseeing the running of COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
I have been in my current role as Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice since November 2023. My role is primarily teaching focused – I am heavily involved in organising, coordinating and delivering clinical placements to undergraduate pharmacy students (2-3 days per week). My other roles include supporting delivery of other clinical classroom-based teaching sessions. During this time, I have gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education and an Independent Prescribing qualification (2025), which is specifically focused on Menopause management. Over the last 6 months I have gained hands-on patient-facing experience within a local Women’s Health hub working alongside a Women’s Health GP to deliver this clinical service to patients.
